China Energy-Saving Reduction Industry Alliance (Industry Alliance in short below) is established, directed and instructed by Ministry of Housing and Urban and Rural Development of People’s Republic of China (MOHURD) Science and Technology Commission, the National Mayor's Training Center, China Real Estate Industry Association, China Real Estate and Housing Research Association, China Architecture Designing & Research Institute, Building Energy Efficiency Committee of China Architecture Industry Association, Asia-Pacific Construction Science and Technology Information Research Institute, and the "City & Housing" Magazine. It is referred to as one strategic alliance of "the most important innovative organizations in the late 20th century".

Industry Alliance is commissioned by the relevant Chinese government departments to bring together pertinent associations, experts and scholars, entrepreneurs, green building enterprises, green energy enterprises, universities, and research institutes for composing such a government-led professional organization. Industry Alliance is designed to support the government's work in policy research, standards preparation, research, and pilot and demonstration, science and technology promotion, technical advice and other aspects of positive suggestions, and earnestly fulfill the commitment to the matter. It serves either to erect demonstrated projects and typical enterprises and organizations or take responsibility of nominating "Green Building Projects", "Energy-Saving and Land-Demonstration Projects" or "Housing Pilot Projects", and "China High-tech Industry Innovation Award" in order for pragmatically stimulating the development of green buildings and renewable energy consumptions. Besides, Industry Alliance also often provides professional counseling and technical advice to industries in terms of different specific projects, investment cases, or development and management plans. The Industry Alliance Annual Meeting with seminars and exhibitions is being continuously attracted by related industries and playing a leading role on society.
