Training

Petrochemical Economics
14-15 Oct. 2014, Jakarta Indonesia

Course Overview:

The workshop will deliver and understanding of the fundamental costs of production from a wide range of cracking operations and give an understanding of the threats to profitability over the next decade. A particular focus will be estimates for production costs for cracking operations for South East Asia by comparing them to operations in the Middle East, Europe and the USA. Production cost sensitivity of cracking operations to the prevailing price of energy and other key variables will be evaluated. The importance of the US shale gas revolution will be discussed emphasizing changes to the product slate and implications and opportunities for the production of C3, C4 and aromatics. The seminar will develop a series of case studies which will illustrates the key driving forces and permit the estimation of how feedstock price and by-product credits will impact on olefin and resin production cost.
