The AHS and RWSI are pleased to present a certification course on Safety Management System (SMS) for helicopter operators and for personnel in the corporate level within the helicopter industry. Various elements of SMS are already in implementation in the major airline operators. Asian helicopter professionals including regulators are getting themselves up to speed and implementing SMS. One of them is the DGCA in India being the first regulatory authorities to mandate the implementation of SMS. The others such as FAA, EASA, Transport Canado, ICAO are in various stages of regulating it.

It is very much recommended that all interested parties in the Asian region take this course and have an understanding of what SMS is about and engage in implementing the practice. So once the regulations kick in, you will be ahead of the course. This is one of the important recommendations of the IHST (International Helicopter Safety Team)

The course is open to all personnel ( CEO's,COO,Pilots,Engineers,AME's,Ops Managers,Chief/Deputy chief of Flight Safety,Safety Managers,QC Managers, and other personnel associated with aviation) from General Aviation  both Aeroplane and Helicopters.

Course Description: The SMS process applies special technical and managerial skills to identify and control hazards that lead to incidents and accidents.This course will provide individuals with the skills and materials required to develop, implement and manage an organizational safety system for phase-wise implementation of SMS plan.
