The 3rdannual Asia Gas Congress 2007, held from Nov.7th to 9th at Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing, was a great success in terms of the number of participants, the shape of the agenda, the high quality of presentations and the enthusiasm of the networking and communication. We would like to thank all the speakers, sponsors and delegates for their constructive contribution to the event and many thanks also to all the supporting organizations and media partners for their dynamic participation and media coverage.

Building on the huge success of the previous annual events, the 3rd annual gas event has accommodated around 300 decision makers and industry professionals of 160 international leading companies for this timing, rewarding and highest-caliber industry gathering with a global view on Asian luring gas market.

Around 30 senior speakers from Petrochina, Energy Bureau of NDRC, ExxonMobil, Total, Iran LNG, Petronas, Sakhalin Energy, Mitsubishi, GAIL, Sinopec, XinAo gas, CNOOC, Nexant, Pinsent Masons, Mott MacDonald, China United Coal-bed Methane, Shell, Petrobras, Gaffney, Cline & Associates, SIGTTO, Gentec, etc presented and shared their strategic insights into the most concerned issues including global gas supply and demand dynamics and its impact on Asia, critical supply security for China, gas pricing system and pricing benchmark of suppliers, price affordability of consumer countries, economic viabilities of gas power in China, LNG shipping, local gas distribution market and coal-bed methane industrialization in China, etc. Obviously gas supply & demand dynamics and pricing issues remain to be the major concern of the most industry players and most of the participants are unstinted to give high comments on the innovative and effective communication between gas sellers and buyers through the interactive panel discussion.

This year marked another milestone for Asia Gas Congress, as more and more international gas giants have showed their increasing attention and acknowledgement to the event. Through three years' consecutive efforts and hard work, we've also strengthened the leadership of the Asia Gas Congress as the highest-profile gas industry event for Asia market with the kind supports from various parties. We will keep going to make this annual convention more beneficial and targeted for the industry professionals.
