About CWC 2007

Why Should Attend

Water pricing – Increasing water price are a signal to expand water supply & treatment industry in China into a profitable age. Increasing water players from all over the world, including France, Germany UK, USA, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia etc., are racing to join this exciting market. In order to absorb more private capital and technologies into China's water industry, the government is proactively directing the market into a new stage – reforming water pricing and improving the investment environment are now key issues. To what degree will the policies restructure the landscape of China's water industry?

How big is the market? New government data shows that in order to meet the quantity and quality demands of water supply for 350 million urban residents in about 400 cities in China, investment of USD $30 billion is required by 2010. The urban wastewater treatment rate will rise from 45 percent to 60 percent, and the pipeline utilization rate should reach 90 percent. More than 1,000 water treatment plants will be built throughout China by 2010 and the market for wastewater treatment will total over USD $50 billion. Current trends in investment and policymaking are driving water projects inexorably toward privatization. The industry is becoming more open than ever.

These proactive policies result in furious competition. Policies & ROI, competition & cooperation, investment & financing - are the most powerful keynote in China's water industry. How then should international enterprises participate in PPP and operate successfully in China's water industry? How to enhance competitive position in the Chinese water industry? How should project finance and capital strategies be exploited in China? What services should technology, equipment, and personnel firms provide in China's water market?

As international interest and participation in China's water industry continue to grow, with the general support o f the Ministry of Construction P.R.C, National Development and Reform Commission P.R.C and Ministry of Water Resources P.R.C , we are proud to present the China Water Congress 2007 on April 19 th & 20 th in Beijing , which is a must-attend event for the water and waste water sector with governmental directions, business opportunities, and marketing trends. In particular, the conference will give you a strategic marketing campaign and extraordinary platform covering the overall investment expansion of more than USD $120 billion planned for China's water industry.
