The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Hong Kong (CILTHK)
CILTHK is the professional body for those engaged in various sectors of transport and logistics, including air, sea and land, for both passengers and freight movement. The Chartered Institute of Transport (CIT) was formed in the United Kingdom in 1919 as the Institute of Transport and became a Chartered Institute in 1926. The Institute first set up the Hong Kong Branch in 1968 and it was upgraded to the HK Section in 1972. In line with the change of the International Institute and in recognition of the fact that the fields of transport and logistics are complementary and highly interdependent and have a big overlap of activities and competence, the Institute was renamed as the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) in Hong Kong in July 2001. The membership of CILTHK is now around 1,900 and broadly ranges from experienced senior managers to junior staff in the industries of shipping, logistics, airline, railway, road, public transport, government, educational institutes and consultancy.

The Japan Overseas Rolling Stock Association (JORSA)
JORSA is a special authorized corporation under the Export and Import Transaction Law of Japan and with the approval of Japan’s Minister of International Trade and Industry. JORSA is an umbrella organization of 25 Japanese leading trading companies and manufacturers of rolling stock and parts. JORSA shall carry out its business to come together for mutual interests of members with the aim of encouraging sound development of trade transaction of rolling stock. Particularly, Japan has developed superior technologies in the area of inter-city high-speed railways and urban railways. JORSA assists in spreading such railway technologies in Japan to overseas countries and thereby facilitates social development in many countries. JORSA also strives to help support and contribute to environmental improvements, and settle related problems-in those countries.

HK IRSE
The HK IRSE is an international group of railway signaling engineers, which was incorporated in 1912, with the general aim of advancing the science of railway signaling and control systems engineering. It has 2665 members and associates worldwide. In 1995 the President of the Institution inaugurated the Hong Kong section. The Institution has an annual growth of 2.8% in Hong Kong.
