about SouFun In
June 1999, SouFun Holdings Ltd. was founded by the main
founder Mo Tianquan.
In March 2000, American
International Data Group (IDG) and Goldman Sachs Investment
Bank (Goldman Sachs) became main Shareholders of SouFun.
In the second half of
year 2000, SouFun Beijing SouFun Shanghai SouFun Shenzhen
SouFun Chongqing SouFun Hong Kong and SouFun Tianjin
were founded one after another.
In 2004, SouFun developed
to the other areas of China for the second time, SouFun
Wuhan SouFun Nanjing SouFun Chengdu and SouFun Jinan
were founded one after another.
In January 2005, SouFun
developed to the other areas of China for the third
time, SouFun Xi’an SouFun Changsha SouFun Suzhou SouFun
Wuxi SouFun Kuming SouFun Dongguan and SouFun Hangzhou
were founded.
In July 2005, the big
French media company Trader invested 200 million RMB
to SouFun and thus became the second big organization
shareholder that after the position of IDG.
In October 2005, SouFun
developed to the other areas of China for the forth
time, SouFun Shijiazhuang SouFun Taiyuan SouFun Hefei
SouFun Ningbo SouFun Hainan SouFun Wenzhou SouFun Zhengzhou
SouFun Changchun SouFun Haerbin SouFun Guiyang SouFun
Xiamen and SouFun Dalian were founded.
In December 2005, SouFun,
as the only real estate website, was named as one of
“the 100 most commercial valued websites in China” for
the second time and got the title of “the most popular
website” at the same time.
On September 4th,2006,
SouFun（www.SouFun.com）and Telstra, one of the World
500 Strong Enterprises announced the 2 billion RMB (254
Million DS Dollars) Strategy Cooperation Agreement.
Telstra becomes the first big shareholder of SouFun.
Thus , SouFun has preliminarily completed the strategic
investor introduction plan and SouFun Organization process. |
